Norton has a decent one that I believe will plug into OE, but nothing is perfect and I don't know if it works on Windows 98.
A couple of things that you could do are.....
1. Get a free email account from yahoo, etc. and use that one when a website must have an email address. Don't use your real one. Check it every now and then.
2. Have Time Warner give you a new account and only let the people you want email from know that address and cancel the old account
Thanks;
I currently have 8 Norton Products (beta tested them) and as I said before can't afford to purchase a new commerical software package (I'm so broke; I can't even pay attention <grin>
Ref free E-Mail accounts - 5 people use this piece of junk (PC) - Wife, Son(25), Daughter(28), Son-Out-Law(34), and myself(55-Retired) - try'd all the "FREE" e-mail accounts and got every type of virus/trojan under the sun. As far as changing accounts with Time-Warner -- Most of my e-mail "I" do want is from Open Web Sites (CNet, ZDNet, WinSite, FoxNews, MSNBC, CNN, Congress, etc). Son is into NASCAR & Animie (which is Hyperlinked to PornSites - I checked - no way out). We tried 5 separate accounts for about 2 weeks, and got 10,000+ Spams spread across the multiple accounts.
Any further suggestions?
