December monthly poll
« on: December 01, 2008, 04:18:17 AM »
For the month of December we thought it would be interesting to see how many songs you have in your MP3 / iTunes library. Feel free to comment about how long you've been adding songs to your library, problems you've encountered, or anything else you feel relate to this months poll.

Thanks goes out to computeruler for this months poll suggestion.

All past monthly polls and results can also be found on the Computer Hope poll page.

I have 740 songs.
I clear out ones I no longer listen to every so often, haven't updated it for a while.

I have 834. Last year I won a Zune from Microsoft by logging on to one of their webcasts. After six months of figuring out what a Zune was, I realized I have to feed it from time to time. A major food source for the Zune has been SpiralFrog.

What kind of hard drive do you have?

I have 4,986 songs, a total of 327 hours, taking up 21.9GB... Most of it is 256KBPS, and the rest either around 300KBPS or 128...
Still, I think I listen to more music over the Internet than I do directly on my computer.

Modest here - over a fairly long time I downloaded odd files - many were royalty-free experimentals - plus I have ripped quite a few DVDs to MP3.

When I picked up a good deal on a mini pocket MP3 player I threw most files onto that in various folders.  Doubt much over 500.
Ain't technology great - until it goes wrong!

I have right around 500. Trying to fill up 8gb on an mp3 is harder then I thought it would be. Granted I'm only putting on what I like the most. Still not done. It's a time consuming task to boot!

1083 here- 142 on my "favourites" playlist.

408 (31 albums) of those tracks are Queen. Interesting.

And 143 are weird Al. Good for a laugh every once in a while :)

I wish I had a good reliable backup of my music, let alone, computer.

I was thinking about getting a 100GB (or, maybe just around 40... that would cover everything except maybe Windows & Program Files)

heh, I'm working off a 500GB, have two 160GB drives, and three 80GB drives. So the only reason I wouldn't have a backup is because I'm lazy. That is the case.
