OK thanks for all the help I am almost there.

LVC plays my DVD just greate so I stop it from playing and cloass the player so I am at the main LVC Media Player.

I go to Media and then Convert / Save and I see everything like you told me.

I pick my Video Encapulation as MPEG  and set Audio as MP3 128 kbs
I go up to ware you brows to pick ware you want to save the File you make and I pick Desktop. And then give it a name.

The Bottom Right hand side says Save so I click this and it puts a File on my Desktop but it is 0. Bytes and even if I leave it it never gets bigger in size.
    It is not doing anything.

I know I am missing one or two steps do you know what they may be???
I did Pick my DVD Drive and a Title.???

I will have to try that I have not Played it Localy because I did not want to slow it down.

Do you think it has to do with me leaving Title set to 0. and Chapter set to 0.

When I first open Convert / Save window and click Disc I do make sure I pick my DVD Drive and then one of the .VOB Files.

If I rip a whole VOB File do I still have to set Title number not leave it at 0.  and do I have to Pick Chapter Number not leave it at 0.
      ??????????????

That's what I realized after he didn't know which chapter/title to copy...If it was his own made DVD it would have only one main title + menus

so nymph4...we cannot help you, copying a DVDd is illegal...however if you live in new zealand, and legally own the DVD you are allowed to copy the audio  ;D
          (otherwise known as "format shifting")

But other then that...we cannot help

Can someone just give me a Link to ware you told me how to get to the screen in VLC that has   the Bitrate  and Video Codeds and things like that that I can pick from.

I did go into Media  and Convert / Save   and Disc  but I don't see it.

I think I forgot how to get into that screen ware it tells me  Encapulation  and I pick from  MOEG AVI   and so on.

            ??

              Media > convert/save.

That's all I can tell you, I am technically really pushing the line here anyway...For all we know you are copying DVD data to give to someone else...I have been in trouble for helping with piracy once before...it's not pleasant.

OK thanks anyway but I did go to Media  then    Convert / Save   and can't find any settings I did before.

And I am not Coping DVDs to sell or give away.
They are all my own DVDs and I want to take Clips from them and I am going to do Effects just for fun.

No one is ever going to see anything I do?????????????????
