The Computer Hope forums now verify e-mail addresses and IP addresses of users attempting to register through stopforumspam.com. As a test and potentially something I'd like to keep in place I've disabled the CAPTCHA on the registration page.

Stop Forum Spam is a great resource!

Also since you are using Stop Forum Spam have a look at this Spambot Search Tool, which is an extension of Stop Forum Spam. This is the same guy, MysteryFCM (Steve), who helps with hpHosts.net

That's just it we won't need to do anything now, if matches are found *upon registration* they'll be denied access to the forum.
