I'm wirting a paper for my english class about intergrating cybernetics into people, heres the thing I googled and can find any one that is an expert in the field.  It does bring up a 90 year old that has died which doesnt do me much good.
Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

If I fall who is there to pick me up now.  I stand alone but I stand as the gaurdian for whom I wish to protect.  The sound of my blade utters my name as you fall.  For I shall not move.  For those that forsake the very people are wosres

I've built 4 cyborgs so far, and three of them worked. two of those went on a city-wide slaughter. Thankfully the last one I equipped only with a hairdryer, so the city just had a "frizzy hair" day.

Thankfully they were all running windows 95 so we just had to wait 42 days and they would crash.

How is this for your English paper? BC_Programmer, you will want to read this. :P

Carbon spied around the corner. The room was vast; the size of a football field. He glanced around and noticed a huddle of humans in one corner. Hostages, he thought. He continued to examine the contents of the room. He then noticed three beings in the middle of the room. He hadn't seen them at first because of their sheer size and the chunks of metal that surrounded their exoskeletal structure. They all had what appeared to be oversize blow driers at the ends of their hands. The weapons were so huge in fact, they completely covered their right arm, making it seem like it were a part of their...body.
One of them glanced towards him, then made a loud screeching sound and raised his weapon. Carbon quickly pushed off the wall and hid behind a desk. The wall where he had just been hiding behind was blasted away.
Carbon stood up and fired his weapons. His armor-piercing rounds bounced off their strange-looking armor, not even scratching the surface.
The other creature raised his weapon and fired. Carbon didn't have time to dodge this one. As soon as the blast of hot air hit him, he was blown backwards at alarming speeds, crashing through three walls and skidding 10 meters until he hit another wall at the end of the neighboring room.
Still disorientated, Carbon stumbled up, held up his weapon, and realised it had been distorted and bent into an unrecognizable shape. He flung the weapon to one side and reached for his sidearm. It was gone. He checked his grenades. "Good, two of them" he remarked.
He grabbed them, primed the two and bowled them towards the enemy. He made sure he swung it hard enough to slide all the way into the other room and next to the enemy.
The two grenades bounced and chipped along the cracked marble floor until they came to a stop right under the three enemy targets.
A split-second later, the two grenades detonated. Chunks of metal and electronic circuitry flew in all directions and the three robotic machines blasted to pieces. He had won. But would BC_Programmer give up so easily?
"Is it over?" A hostage asked as he stood up.
Suddenly, they heard an explosion from outside.
"No..." Carbon sighed, "This is only getting started..."

blast you, you blasted me, or did I like, create the robots? I'm going to go with that. Also, for the sake of my installment we used to be scientists that worked together to build the robots. Swear I'm not ripping that from anything. But we had some... difficulties. You wanted to create helper robots. Take for example, when you created your helper robot, Sweepalotagus, and his sidekick, dustpanacus:

    Quote
Carbon:Hi, Sweepalotagus. You're a housekeeping robot, which means you were created for the sole purpose of cleaning up my messes.

    Sweep: I love you, daddy.

BC: Brian, I'm sick of you doing nothing but building robots to clean the Cheetos stains out of your lab coats.

Carbon:Well, why don't you just become a megalomaniacal madman who creates a bunch of robots with easily identifiable patterns and weaknesses to do your bidding?

BC: Fine then, I will! *Stomps off*

Carbon: ha, that's the stupidest thing I ever heard.

(BC creates six robots with easily identifiable patterns and weaknesses to do his bidding)

Carbon: Great. Well I guess I'll put on my giant boots and go kick some *censored*.

BC: HA HA! welcome to my humble fortress, Carbon!

Carbon: Talk about humble. its a blanket over some chairs.

    BC: SILENCE!

BC: Now, I show you my latest invention!

Carbon: It better be better that that Blow-dryer man or whatever that was.

BC: yes- that was before my robot part shipment came in, I had to use what was around the house.

BC: Come forth, armless midget man!

Carbon: you have got to be kidding me.

BC: robot arms are expensive, I'm on a tight budget you know.

Carbon: one of his legs is just a bunch of coke bottles melted together...

BC: And your point is? Look, I had to save money for his root-beer gun.

*the robot shoots root beer out his nostrils.*

BC: HA HA! scared, aren't you!

*Carbon shoves a grenade down the robots throat*

    *explosion*

BC:Well then... err- thankfully, I have a backup plan!

Carbon: what's that? a huge harmless monster created solely out of tuna cans?

BC: err.... no. well... not anymore. Say can you give me a few days?

HERE's a nice start from Wikipedia.  Some instructors won't allow Wiki as a source, but it will give you some background.
