It's a chain mail - so, no, it's not real.

I hate chain mail like that.  I mean the ones that say someone will kill you if you dont forward it is fine but those are annoying.  On a side note, always be careful of emails your opening and who sent them and stuff.

I dunno.  I get some pretty scary chain letters....  I guess I send it to people because I don't want the little teddy bear to kill my family.

and if your email service allows, turn on the option to block all images from the incoming emails until you've had a chance to review and have them unblocked. So you don't get tricked by things like phishing or the sorts.

whenever I get one of those- if the person who sent it isn't on my contact list I sign it up to multiple seedy newsletters.  they end up getting so much spam.

In short they need a new account and learn NOT to forward the e-mails. everybody learns a lesson. Except of course me.  ;D

Harry - I can't imagine why you would even open an e-mail such as this.  Get MailWasher

you can try signing up for mail expire address from http://mailexpire.com/ which is a temporary address that forwards mail to your inbox so nobody knows your real email if you use it. Just a suggestion for defense against potential spam if you're worried on that.
