beam me up
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:31:34 PM »
I have a box of Frosted Mini Wheats and just pulled a Star Trek--Romulan Transporter badge out of the box.

When you push the button that contacts the spaceship you want to beam to, a green LED light on the end lights up.......kind of like a flashlight :D

ah!  I believe I do detect a little envy here ;D

You're going to hate me even more now, because I just found the Star Fleet Transporter Badge in a different box of Frosted Mini Wheats!

When the button is pushed to signal, a yellow LED turns on :)

So, are you buying these, or standing in the supermarket aisle, rifling through all the boxes?!   ;)

I really liked the movie, by the way.  I tease you because I'm pleased you passed.  I tried in '02, and never took the official test.  Practice hardware tests were no problem, but the Win2K side gave me fits!

just bought a couple boxes of cereal recently....broke into them before the boxes were emptly  ;)

I didn't see the new movie that just came out, only the older ones with the original crew......and No hard feelings about teasing me :)

and yes, the exam seems to have evolved quite much from back in '02.  I wonder if it was harder back then compared to now....the exam seems more comprehensive now...

According from what I heard, personal I like the regular cast which I suppose makes me a true fan but I kind of like the look of a younger spock

I've always been more keen on the next generation- probably since I saw that first. Also I liked the whole transistionary movie that was "genesis".

I liked it for the most part but it sort of felt like it was a mock in a way.

        how so?

Didn't really like the enterprise-C segment at the beginning. The captain seemed a bit too fresh to be in charge of the enterprise.

Was that Enterprise at the beginning of the new film?  I missed that.  I didn't think the original Captain was all that young...hmmm...now I have to check into that.   :)

Let's not give too much away for those who've not yet seen it!

I'm talking about the 7th movie, actually- the first 6 with the original Enterprise crew, and then Genesis, which in effect was a transition from The original Series to The Next Generation. They are all freshi n my mind, since I just watched the four movies after the original six (Genesis, First Contact,Insurrection, Nemesis) and all 6 seasons of The next generation- now I'm up to season 6 of Voyager. It's been a few months of progress, but I've seen so little of any star trek on TV so it's all new to me.

I'm pretty sure the script just says "push buttons randomly" whenever they need to do something with their computers, too. kind of funny.
