    There`s no sound device

    Thanks ...I just instaled a new o/s win xp sp2 , but the device manager show me 3 erros at " device bases of the sistem " with yellow signs (?-!) could you tell what drivers I need to solve this ?....is there any relation With the absence of the sound device?.....from Colombia.....1000 gracias ( thanks)
     this is a laptop pavilion dv2118 la  - 512 ram - win xp -sp2

        Those are errors ...the yellow signs means  the abcens of divers... but I don´t know what kind of drivers are .....beside...none sound...thanks

              Potere scuro...thanks...I understand ,..my english is worse....i`ll try again....the device manager  say :  3 "device bases of system"  with signs yellow ...I would like to solve this ...in addition  the sound device it doesn`t appear either,.For this motive I cannot install the sound controller..... i hope you understand and help me....

                    Kpac...thanks....there is no sound device ....just ..where say : device of sound, video , game..show this : audio codecs - video codecs-  and more but  sound controler ....nothing

                    Under "Sound, video and game controllers", nothing is listed? Is your sound card properly installed?
                    What is the make and model of the sound card?

                        From the United States version of the HP site -- sorry -- thy this PAGE.  It's the Conexant Audio drivers for your model.

                        There's a choice to just download(and install on your own)  or a choice to install directly from the site.
