I don't know about the Western Hemisphere, but here in Thailand Bing broke the Windows Live network for a few hours after they activated it until they shut it off to correct whatever problem they had created. Basically, every Windows Live page (including Hotmail) redirected you to Bing, no matter what you clicked on the page (sign in, sign up, etc.) you were sent to a Bing search for "Windows Live". All of the link results on a Bing search brought you right back to Bing instead of to the page you were supposed to go to. You wouldn't believe the amount of calls I got on that day about it, all of them "Why can't I access my Hotmail? I keep seeing this thing called Bing!" Microsoft didn't really bother to advertise Bing here, so no one knew it was coming. A lot of people thought they had a virus that had hijacked their browsers.
