I have asked a friend, and my friend has told me that he has a few ideas and wants to confirm them before he gives me any updates, I will be sure to post them here, in the meantime I hope you get the problem fixed.

ok luck i know this has taken me a while to get to, but it very much depends where it sees the wrong cpu info. if its from inside windows you could write a program patch an api or write your own driver to do it. How it would ahve done it by itself, well a virus or corrupted driver. out side of windows in the bios, then it would be bios drivers i guess.

that is his reply (my username is luck)

maliss, I'm going to suggest that you ignore Ireland on this one.
What he is suggesting is a very bad idea.

Maliss, if you read this, just let us know if you have successfully found the solution with assistance of Newegg Customer Service and any other relevant sources or whether you've found out a suitable answer yourself. Good luck  ;D
