That's interesting.

What's your OS? Do you connect your computer to the modem or does it go through a router? Is your computer connected to the modem? Does the modem have internet?  ???

    look for a re-set button usually on the back and stick a toothpick in there ( do not poke yourself) and hold it for a few seconds, this is in the back of the modem. sometimes they just need to be re-set
