    Hey, i recently reinstalled my laptop and all the preconfigured settings were deleted. So I tried to download all the drivers for my "HP Compaq 6820s" and I forgot the internet (ethernet) one.
     So the wireless is working fine, but now I tried plugging the cable into my computer directly and ofc I had to download the ethernet driver. Even though it shows in the taskbar, I only get "limited or no internet access".

    Im currently on another laptop with the same cable plugged in, and it works FINE here =).

    What 2 do!!! :o

      Try doing a ipconfig /all If it gives u a IP of 169.x.x.x (class B) then u r not connect. Try doing a ipconfig /renew to see if the ip address is new. Also uninstall the drivers and reinstall.
