Netbooks Operating Systems

A couple of months a go i bought a Compaq CQ70 it's a very capable machine for what i need but with a 17" screen a little too big!

So i'm thinking of buying a little netbook, i understand that they're to small to run vista but will they run Windows 7. Should i wait till i can buy a netbook pre-loaded with windows 7? Is it that different to xp? I'd appreciate any advice.

The Win7 OS has actually been built for netbooks along with being a full featured OS for desktop machines...
I think you would be making a solid choice...

Which model are you leaning towards ? ?

Thanks Patio, as i usually only use the laptop to entertain me when working away from home i want to keep the budget small!

I was thinking about the ASUS Eee 1005HA which is currently offered with XP. Although i'll look at a few machines yet before i decide.
