    Does I need a driver for my built-in cam when I format my laptop?

      Unfortunately many Toshiba systems only come with a restore disk, not the drivers independently.  They can be downloaded from the Toshiba site however.

        It depends on the laptop. My HP requires it for its cam, but my girlfriend's Toshiba didn't. However, that's not to say your Toshiba won't need it, but if you do it and any other drivers you need should be available from Toshiba's website.
