i just bought a new wireless internet card specified for a dell inspiron 8000, but my dell inspiron 8000 does not get a signal unless i am directly beside my router.

    Hello,
    I had a similar issue with a wireless card.  Turns out, the antenna was defective.  If it's new, you could probably contact the company and send it back.
