OLE

OLE may refer to any of the following:

1. Short for Object Linking and Embedding, OLE was developed by Microsoft as a method of sharing information between two or more applications in Windows and the Apple operating system. An example of how OLE may be used is incorporating a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in a Microsoft Word document or HTML (hypertext markup language) page.

2. Short for OnLine English, OLE is an English interface developed by Artificial Intelligence Inc. used to query computer databases using natural English.

3. Acronym sometimes used for Microsoft Outlook Express.
