In the world of cloud computing, Oracle Public Cloud, or Oracle Cloud for short, is Oracle's solution for businesses large and small. Oracle provides services with their Oracle Public Cloud product, namely SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).

Businesses can choose to use Oracle's cloud services to host their applications. Their developers can create and test software using Oracle's platforms, and use Oracle's servers to run their business environment.

Using cloud computing, businesses contract computing and network resources as a service from the cloud provider. Some companies prefer to not use cloud services for privacy and security reasons. Oracle Public Cloud also allows a business to put the cloud platform and services within their data center and still have Oracle manage it. Doing so helps alleviate privacy and security concerns a business may have about their data.

Oracle Public Cloud helps businesses reduce costs, including one-time costs for hardware and recurring costs for hardware and software maintenance and management.
