Microsoft Windows HTTP Services, also called WinHTTP, is an interface to the HTTP/1.1 Internet protocol for developers and applications that interact with HTTP servers. On Windows Vista, 7, and 8, WinHTTP allows developers to incorporate the ability to send and receive HTTP requests into applications. These requests be done using a Win32 API and COM automation component.
