And The Children Shall Lead...
« on: April 01, 2008, 06:32:48 PM »
http://apnews.myway.com//article/20080401/D8VPC1I80.html

Back in my day, when I walked to school uphill both ways, we respected the teachers, or got our anatomies spanked -- and most of us wanted the teachers or principals to deal with it -- we didn't want our parents finding out!   :o

Yes, I know, sometimes, teachers and principals abused their power or authority.  It's so nice  ::) to see the way we do things nowadays is so much better...

April fools joke? I have a hard time believing any news done on April 1st. :)

You're right -- I hadn't thought of that...

I guess what bothers me is the trend from the last ten years or so -- that more and more of these types of incidents are coming out of the rural areas and (relatively) smaller towns...

Yeah I agree with that and I really hope this is an April fools joke because the ability of a bunch of 3rd graders coming up with something like this is pretty scary.

The scary thing is that it is happening, I would be terrified to be a teacher in a school nowdays, on the news no so long ago a 5th grader died, a bunch of other 5th graders attacked him. Kids are bringing guns to school. I work at a college and we had a student bring a gun to class, thankfully he is not allowed back!

The world today is a scary place
Thort of the day: I was normal once....didn't like it

    Yeah so true Lau,
I wish sometimes that things were like it used to be in old times, but we can always try to make a small difference :)

The purported target is a veteran educator who teaches third-grade students with learning disabilities including attention deficit disorder, delayed development and hyperactivity.

And because of what??  The teacher told a child to not stand on a chair??

Next time, let the kid fall...get a little introduction to Newtonian physics.

What's the old line?  "It's not the fall -- it's the sudden stop at the end."

The scary part is when I was in the fiveth grade this didn't happen.  Cause I was singled out.
Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

If I fall who is there to pick me up now.  I stand alone but I stand as the gaurdian for whom I wish to protect.  The sound of my blade utters my name as you fall.  For I shall not move.  For those that forsake the very people are wosres
