The show all feature in Microsoft Word allows you to see each of the formatting tags such as spaces, new lines, tabs, and new paragraphs in Microsoft Word.

Above is an image of the icon used to enable to enable and disable this feature (looks like a backwards P) and some example text with each of the major formatting symbols look like. To enable or disable this feature simply press the show all icon on the standard toolbar. If this toolbar is not visible click View, Toolbars, and check Standard.
