Chapter
Chapter may refer to any of the following:
1. When describing a book, a chapter is a section of the book. For example, a book about computers may have a chapter about hard drives.
Books with multiple chapters often have a table of contents at the beginning of the book listing each chapter with it's associated page number.
2. With a DVD (digital versatile disc), a chapter is a portion of a movie. For example, a DVD movie has several chapters to help make skipping through a movie faster. The picture shows the chapter button in a media player program or on a remote.
With some devices and programs, there may only be a fast-forward button with no additional chapter button. In this situation, the fast-forward button may be used as a chapter skip button if pressed once or a fast-forward button if held down.
