Intranet

Unlike the Internet where a page may be accessible by anyone connected to the Internet, an Intranet is a local Internet generally belonging to a corporation or organization that allows a select few members access to the pages and is protected from any other users not part of that intranet. Computer residing on an Intranet will almost always be using IP addresses in the reserved address space.
