Jaz drive
A
disk storage drive introduced by Iomega in
1995 that was capable of storing between
1GB and 2GB on a single disk. The Jaz drive connects internally to the computer
using either IDE or SCSI
and can also be connected externally using the
Parallel Port or SCSI. In the picture to the right, is an example of what
the Iomega Jaz drive looks like. With competing technologies and cheaper media,
the Jaz drive was completely discontinued in 2002.
