Progress indicator

Also known as a progress bar, a progress indicator is a graphical representation of the current status of a task. For example, a user may see a visual graphic bar moving left to right as a software program is being installed onto the computer. The progress indicator allows the user to easily see that the install is making progress and allows them to estimate how much more time is needed. Below is a basic example of what a progress indicator could look like.
