| Short for Quality of Service,
QoS is an ability of a product to provide a certain type of service by
the settings within the product. For example, a user could assign
different levels of QoS on a network router, allowing certain users or
a type of network traffic to have more or less priority than other
users. For example, an administrator
may set a higher priority on internal network
traffic opposed to external
traffic.
