Threadripper

Threadripper, also called Ryzen Threadripper, is a line of workstation CPUs designed by AMD, released in August 2017. Threadripper CPUs operate on the Zen microarchitecture and use the TR4 socket type.

The Threadripper line competes with the Intel Core i7 and Xeon processors, designed primarily for software development, CGI (computer-generated imagery), machine learning, and distributed computing.
