An IRC server ban that prevents a user from connecting to the server. Often this type of ban is done if a user is spamming, being abusive, or causing other issues on multiple channels on the IRC server. This type of ban is a last resort if a ban from an IRC channel is not enough and can only be removed by those who have control over the IRC server.
