First, attempt to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard to see if it is detected. If not detected see document CH000298 for additional information about why a USB keyboard may not work in MS-DOS, Real mode, or Safe mode.

If you're running in Windows or another operating system or mode not listed above then you're likely encountering a driver related issue with your USB drivers and/or your keyboard. If other USB devices are working on your computer it's likely a driver related issue with your keyboard. Make sure your keyboard is compatible with your version of Windows or your operating system and that you've installed any drivers it may require. If no USB devices are working make sure your USB drivers and/or chipset drivers are installed.
