Okay, too much help can be as confusing as too little, and Computer_Commando is better with hardware than I am -  so I'll bow out of the thread. I'll keep an eye on it, but you're in good hands.

The download is packed into a 32-bit 7-zip file, but it shouldn't matter, it's self extracting.  Looks like you got that far.  However. your bin file says"F10", not F13.  Show file extensions.

This is the name of the file you should have downloaded "mb_bios_ga-990xa-ud3_f13.exe".  Size is 1,107kB

Sorry Allan, didn't mean to intrude.  Please continue to monitor.

You can upload & attach the pic to your post.  Click on "Attachments and other options" below message box.

Did you double-click the file & then the error message displayed?  It should be the same for 32 or 64-bit.

Are you attempting to execute FLASHSP1?

Nothing to apologize for and you certainly weren't intruding. My primary concern is helping the OP and you're more knowledgeable about hardware than I am. No ego problems here - happy you jumped in :)

It looks as if the BIOS updates are not executable from within Windows.  May require a FDD, CD, or flash drive.

Trying to find the instructions, standby.

Found this:
I think this utility is required to update BIOS from within Windows.
http://ca.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/121/tech_a_bios.htm

I think there might be an Update BIOS located in the BIOS.

That's it.  Need to read the manual.

I happen to have a Gigabyte from 2010 & have the manual printed out.
End = Q-Flash

Want me to read the manual for my MOBO, I am sure I could find it or get a PDF for it on my laptop. Is that what you mean?

I seriously doubt a BIOS flash is needed here to get a game running as it is just something the OP "read" on another site that made it work...and i think it's been overlooked here in this case...
What for example is the BSOD ? ?

Im not sure what you mean, I looked at some youtube videos, Activison forums and a lot of them said that by updating their BIOS they got the game to work, a guy on youtube has the exact same MOBO as I do and had the same problem.

When I got the BSOD it was after I launched the game and it said it happened because it was saving Windows data from something something

You're typing this on the laptop?
Absolutely, read your manual.  While in BIOS F8 is Q-Flash.  Never tried it on mine since it has the latest.

My HP laptop is so much easier, just double-click the file.

No I am using my PC now, but if I was going to my Q-Flash and needed to use the mobo manual I could use the PDF with my laptop that is beside me.

So, I am to restart my PC, go into Q-Flash and do what?
