Help! Drop down boxes etc
« on: March 20, 2007, 02:43:36 PM »
I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the already searched for items in Google.

I realise I haven't been clear but it is hard to describe.

Like when you go on a search engine and type in a letter like 'A' and a drop down box will come up with all the searches you have made in the past starting with that letter.

Is there a way to stop this happening / clearing the list?

Try using CCleaner, this will clean junk files including search history.
Use this guide to set it up before use.
Hope this helps.

I believe you're referring to the autocomplete feature found in browser that will automatically complete text as you're typing it in any form box including searches such as Google. Information about how to do this can be found on the below page for each major browser.

And that's another solution, which is probably easier.

Both are good, viable solutions.  It never hurts to have CCleaner on your computer!
