Computer lights stay on after shutdown
« on: April 02, 2008, 01:49:52 PM »
Hello,
this problem started suddenly about a year after i bought the computer.
When i turn off my computer the standard way, (Start -> Turn off computer),
the computer makes a sound like it has been turned off, but:
- After that sound, it sounds like the air vents are still working
- The computer light is still on
- The mouse light and screen light is turned off (This is actually normal)
- The DVD-rom burner's light flashes a few times, which i find pretty awkward..
- Note: now i can actually open and close the DVD-Rom by pressing the button.

Now it stays like the above until i shutdown the computer manually by pressing the button for 5 seconds.

Please, help me fix this.
Thanks in advance!  :)

In the shutdown window make sure standby is not selected...
