Windows Vista IE Explorer Shut Down Problems
    « on: September 11, 2008, 06:31:50 PM »
My Daughter's new laptop, a Compaq Presario V700 with Vista Home Premium has a strange problem, when you try to shut down IE Explorer it issues an error saying IE Explorer stopped working and will restart.

It restarts and when you try to shut it down again it says an error has occured and Microsoft will notify me when a fix is available.

It also has shut down three times without being asked while I was trying to type this.

    Help!

Type your message in notepad, then paste it while IE is up.  Or use a different browser.  Does the error message say anything else?  Also, I think this thread should go here: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/board,3.0.html

      Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
      Same thing?
