I've never grown tired of Queen Or Skynyrd... Like I say, I could listen to almost any of their songs over and over and over and over and over and I think you get the point *over*.

You know, it depends heavily on my mood what I listen to. I mostly listen to metal when I'm exercising or just admiring my muscular body in the mirror reminding myself over and over of how manly I am

But most of the time I just put on random 80's pop songs because they just go with any occasion and I constantly switch between 'm

Jazz and Classical music go on when I have a long task to perform. You see, when you put on musical genres like that, there's almost no 'annoying song' that you'd just like to skip. I can just dump everything into the media player list and I'll be entertained.

I don't think that will ever change.

Joe Jackson is one of my favorite English artists who had maybe 4 tunes that went popular...
However the base of his work is  extremely talented both musically (he surrounds himself with very talented people) and lyrically.

Disappointingly when i turn other people on to his music about 10 % actually hear it and appreciate it for what it is...

But i think that was his goal all along...to be kind of an anti-artist.

So OK i give in...music is a very subjective taste.

To prove my point less than 10% of all those reading this will appreciate his tunes...

I like music with meaning...

I was listing to something from the Juno sound track, "Loose Lips", by Kimya Dawson, I happen to love that song, and was obsessively listing to it over and over again. Then it hit me, in the middle of the night, what it meant, and it was 18 words that summed it up:
we're just dancing, we're just hugging,
singing, screaming, kissing, tugging
on the sleeve of how it used to be.

As I suddenly sat right up, completely awaking myself, realizing exactly what it meant.

Or, The Trial by Pink Floyd... freaky song when you really listen to it and analyze it. Let alone more than half the Pink Floyd songs....

But, the truth is, almost all good music has meaning behind it, some of it just isnt direct and up front in the lyrics as we often expect it to be.

I should go to bed...

That's allright, but if you're looking for good music with meaning behind it then...

Zylstra, I'm glad to hear that you're a Kimya Dawson fan...or that you at least like that song.  It's not one of her best, in my opinion, but it's still pretty good.  I absolutely love Kimya and all of the other members of The Moldy Peaches.  Great stuff.  You should check out some Jeffrey Lewis stuff too.

I can play brandberg's concerto #5 with my toes on a ukulele. Or, I used to, when I was 2 and a half.

I can also play the people's court theme song with two weasels, a breathmint, and two bumblebees.

I have about 320.  I received a Zune last year for Christmas.  I am not too computer savey so I have had a few issues getting music for it.  I do know that my daughter's I-Pod website is much faster than the Microsoft Zune website.

I'm tempted to say "will you shut up about it if we give you a chance" but I feel that might be a bit to forward.  ;D
