In like 10 years tha graphics are going to be real life.  Like a movie.  Like a blue ray movie.  I have crysis and those graphics are amazing!

In like 10 years we won't have 2d graphics any more. EVERYTHING WILL BE HOLOGRAMS!

4D = What? W axis, X axis, Y axis, and Z axis? Where does the W axis go? It's not possible to have 4 axis'.

      OK. Every body Smile!     (|

A few years from now Graphic Displays will be of little interest to most people.

Example, When I was a child, a long time ago, we had innovations in the Movie industry to compete with Television. Stereo, Wide screen and effects you can not duplicate on a small screen. So after all these years only a few people now have huge projection TVs, which have been around for years.

And the Movie people are back into 3-D again.

Because we live in a 3D world, we can't possibly contemplate what the fourth D is. If we can think of it, then it can't possibly be the fourth D.

The fourth dimension is Time.  The old master, Albert Einstein -- a moment of silence, please! -- conceived this nearly a hundred years ago.

If that were true, the Internet would not have become so graphics intensive over the last ten or fifteen years.   ;)

      Actually, we can.

Time, as Aegis said, is a dimension. The difference being that although objects can move freely in all three X,Y and Z axes, they move through time at a constant* speed.

The fact is, Time IS a dimension- it's a linear dimension just like X,Y and Z axes. difference being, as said, that it can only be moved through forward at a constant speed.

Time travel would allow one to have four degrees of freedom.

      ****nitpicker's corner*****

*Although gravity and velocity influences can impact how "constant" this is, from the reference frame of the object it is constant.
