 :o Ugh.. This is terrible, I just tried a fake/bad domain and sure enough got this page. If they're wanting to do this type of practice and cap downloads I think while they're at it they should also be lowering our Comcast bill!

For those of us who want to opt out without going to something like OpenDNS..

Once verified through e-mail get this response:


Confirmed: Domain Helper Service Opt-out

Your opt-out request has been confirmed. We will complete processing of this request within 2 business days.

Once we complete this work, we will send you an email to advise you that you have been successfully opted-out.

My ISP has started doing this crap now too. :'(

I have Suddenlink. I tried to opt out and am still getting redirected.
Does anyone else use Suddenlink? Can you tell me how to opt out?

You may need to give them a few days to get you out of the DNS hijack, if not I'd call them like Broni said and demand to be opt-out.
