My ISP has started doing this crap now too.

I have Suddenlink. I tried to opt out and am still getting redirected.
Does anyone else use Suddenlink? Can you tell me how to opt out?

Did you opt out through: http://search.suddenlink.net/prefs.php -- It also appears that this is yet another company that resolves DNS hijacking through the cookie approach, which really isn't resolving the issue, simply just working around it by not displaying the search page. So it could also be that you've been opted out, but the cookie handling is just displaying a different type of redirection.

I've also updated the below DNS hijack definition to have a listing of all major ISPs and direct links to their pages containing help or information on how to opt out.

Thanks Nathan, but I'm lost tryingto opt-out. I don't know what to enter for my dns address. Changing it is the only way I can get rid of the "helpful" search page by Rogers.

Qwest has the same type of page when a domain can't be found. Why can't you just click the opt out link?

Rogers method of opting out according to their site is to change the DNS address to an alternate server. Really unfortunate for the customer that they have to rely on another service just to do something they don't want, but it appears this is the only method. So you'd need to change your DNS address to an alternative server. Suggest trying OpenDNS addresses as shown below.

DNS1: 208.67.222.222
DNS2: 208.67.220.220
