Computer Hope now Star Trek help
« on: April 01, 2010, 12:01:20 AM »
Computer Hope is looking to the future and has decided to start supporting Star Trek related questions. I understand this will be difficult at first, but I think getting a head start in supporting space related technologies will help us become the best Star Trek related support site on the Internet.

If you want the full Star Trek look make sure you're using the default theme and for those interested the new forum logo in the top left is "Computer Hope" in Klingon. :)

Cool new look!  And I guess I've got to look up the lyrics to "We're in the Navy Now"

I like that the new Star Trek Help still uses Computer Hope as a logo.  Very retro.  Good call, sir.

Very cute - nicely done. Of course, it does seem you have a little too much free time on your hands  8)

Actually it's not much different from last year, all that's different would be the "klingon" text  being added, the star background, and a few style changes. couldn't have taken overall a lot more then 30 or so minutes, which over the course of an entire year certainly doesn't count as too much spare time :P

I didn't notice anything Star Trek-ish...but then again, I went on a different layout yesterday, just to avoid it.

As am I. My comment was a complement to Nathan followed by what I thought was an obvious touch of humor, so I don't understand where you were coming from. Regardless, apology accepted and let's just move on.

Actually don't have as much time as I wish I had, just a lot of pre-planning. The ranking logos I did last year as mentioned above and the only thing I added this year was the Klingon logo, stars background, and modified the CSS. All in all took me a few hours, but started it at the beginning of March in anticipation of April 1st. :) In fact if you were using the upcoming forum template you may have seen this change as early as a week ago. Was thinking that someone was for sure going to mention the change on the forums because they were using that theme but guess everyone who is using that isn't an active member.

Was anyone else bothered by that one episode of ST:TNG where William T. Riker sort of fell in love with that shemale that wasn't quite a boy nor quite a girl? I think it wore a blue jumpsuit and had a shaved head.

That pretty much describes every episode.

EDIT:

Actually, I found the one where he fell in love with that holographic projection... "Minuet" a little... odd.

I saw the "upcoming" theme, thinking it would be something new and exciting, and changed my theme to the SMF core theme, so I never saw the trekkie forum after that.
