Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus !!!
    « on: June 01, 2010, 11:10:44 AM »
Hello there, I recently installed Windows XP pro again due to a crash. Pretty much everything was running smooth except my sound. I was able to find most of the necessary drivers, but alas in Device Manager there is a problem with "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" There's a yellow exclamation point by it . I have tried un-installing it and re-installing and update driver without any progress. The Hardware Update wizard is no help *figures* and asks for a CD-rom that I don't have. I have spent at least 5 hours in all researching and finding drivers but no luck. So now I finally come to the computer minds that are far greater than my own for help. It would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

From your description and looking at all the other devices, I suspect your audio is a Realtek.

Indeed, but this was also one of the first things I did try to remedy the problem. Thanks very much for your help, though. Take it easy.

That's what I meant Arnold the Barbarian. One of the first things I did was install the Realtek driver. I have tried pretty much all I can think of. I appreciate your help though. Have a nice day.

I'm not sure why it is coming up as unknown. The drivers for the Nforce 570 SLI has already been installed. I guess I could uninstall the drivers and try once more. Dang, I just want my sound back. Do MAC computers ever have weird problems like this or does it really have no viruses and super user friendly?? Who knows, later guys.

That's neither the make nor the model.
