Possible Surge while not protected
« on: April 06, 2004, 12:43:05 PM »
My old Sony PCV90 wasnt protected and I had a serious
power outage. The next day the prompt reads:
_ATI-264GT/A2 PSEUDO EDO BIOS 2.199   at start up.
Can't type, mouse,or get it to read recovery disk.
Is my hard drive blown?

It's possible that one or more components including your hard disk drive may be bad. Does the computer beep or have any type of error code?

You may want to run through the POST troubleshooting section found on the below link to determine which part is defective.
