What version of IE?  Do you have SP2 for Win XP installed?  When did this problem start?  What happened just before that?  What are you using for protection (firewall, anti-virus, spyware)?

Have you ever tried any other browsers?

Open IE and choose Help --> About Internet Explorer to find out what version you have.

Looks like i"m not the only one with such problems. I encountered this using IE6 and I assumed the HDD was at fault. I re-installed the entire OS (Win 2k) and kept on getting the error (at random times) I decided to use Mozilla  and installed it. I STILL GET THAT ERROR. I can't even tell whether it has to do with ads or something like that. Hope you get a solution florie, would like it myself. The particulars of the system are: Win2000, 8GB HDD, PII, 300MHz, 64 MB RAM. (it is just a workstation designed to receive he Internet on a network)

Is this the same problem you mentioned on your other thread? Why do you have two threads asking the same question?

No this has nothing to do with my other thread. I just saw that someone has the same problem as I do and decided to post my experiences with the problem. Maybe it would help with the solution because I initially thought it was a pure IE problem, but I've been getting it in Mozilla too.

            Oh, ok.  :-[
So what is the problem? Is it a hardware problem, or what. I also thought it has to do with Adobe Flash Player issues, but I have it on other PCs and it was not a problem.

              What protection do you have?

There is.... but you'd have to want to trust the person you let do it... go to www.logmein.com and instal that onto your computer and tell them the username and password for logmein and your computer... but then you'd want to uninstal it after or change password or something... (like i said, it's not too safe because he can have total control)
