    Windows programs

Does anyone know if it's possible to have both win.xp and win 98 installed on a computer? I need both systems to control 2 different ignition systems and would like to only have to carry 1 laptop to the track. Any input would be appreciated.

Yes, but you have to make partitions and I am not sure, but may have to also install xp & then upgrade to Vista.  Hang on and some of the smart guys will start dropping by soon.

Thank you Broni but that gets you Vista to XP but I'm looking at either going XP and Win 98 or Vista and Win 98 I didn't see anything on the link that says you can do it.

On my Vista, I have installed on virtual partitions: XP, 2000, and 98.
On virtual partition, you can install any OS, including Linux, and Mac.

Ok I downloaded the Virtual PC now do I still need the boot disc to add win 98 to my computer? And will this cause any issues with my xp program or will it be allright to use. Someone told me that I may not be able to use the 98 without another driver for it. ???

Follow Broni's advice before taking the "someone told me" advice and it should turn out OK for you...
Win98 will install inside VirtualPC and not be needed to use a bootdisk...this is one of the advantages of VPC.

The someone that told me was my IT man at work. Besides I tried to do the VPC thing and it also asked for a boot disc that's why I even asked the IT man.

I think, we need some clarification here. What kind of boot disk are we talking about?
Do you have Windows 98 CD, to start with?

That was the question do I need the disc, which I'm believing I do, right?

Of course. There is no free Windows download.
