Microsoft would have made more profit if they kept selling XP.
In the long run I'd imagine they'd make more by getting users to convert and stopping the support of XP.
Torturing us...
which is more expensive, XP or Vista? (Vista), it they essentially "force" their customers into buying Vista instead of XP, they stand to make a larger profit, even if the OS isn't the freshest girl in the class. Did I just say that?
It's really more a forced software upgrade path then anything, otherwise half the world would still be running DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.1, and (get this) getting the EXACT SAME work done, they just wouldn't be able to play as many games. The question is, is that a bad thing?
