Why Windows XP will go on and on. Believe it or maybe!

Maybe not Forever. But Windows XP will go on and on.
Because there are so many programs that work good on it.
Because  two re cycled XP boxes  costs under a new Vista.
Don't tell me I am wrong. 
Believe it or maybe!   
Tell me all the other reasons why it is so.

people still use windows 3.1- over a million, in fact.

Right now you can pick up almost 50 486 computers for the cost of a Vista PC.

I don't think that they're as much 'people' as they are 'machines' that use Windows 3.1..

Apparently, some of our train ticket vendor machines use Windows 3.11.

Think of an OS.  Any OS.  I will 99.99% guarantee you that it is still in use somewhere.
This is not limited to XP, Vista is not the worst invention ever, and I will keep repeating this indefinitely.

Definitely still in use, it was in the news a while ago.

If I recall properly a Russian company is taking over the design behind it and producing its own variant for people who want still use it and want to upgrade.

Yeah, I was thinking of OS/2 as well!

I'm sure there is some Linux distribution that people have forsaken and forgotten by now... Lets go find it!

well, people use DOS, but if we want to split hairs, I can't think of any purpose for using the first version. didn't even support directories. How sad...
