A dingbat may refer to any of the following:

1. In general, a dingbat is a character, spacer, or ornament used in typesetting. They are often used to create a box frame.

2. In computing, dingbat is a term used to describe certain fonts that have shapes and symbols in place of what would normally be letters and numbers. One common example is the Zapf Dingbat.
