mobile network operatorA mobile network operator or MNO, is a company that provides wireless communications services to users. To accomplish this task, an MNO must own, or at least control, all the necessary components to sell and deliver wireless service. These components include radio spectrum allocation, wireless network infrastructure, billing and customer care services, as well as marketing and repair organizations for mobile devices.

A mobile network operator may also be known as a wireless service provider, cellular company, wireless carrier, or mobile network carrier.
