SME may refer to any of the following:

1. SME is short for "small and medium-sized enterprises" and is an enterprise with fewer than 250 employees. See our enterprise page for further information.

2. With chat and other text-based communication, SME is short for "subject matter expert" and classifies someone as the expert in the group on what's being discussed.
