Temporary folder

A temp directory or temporary folder is a directory on a storage medium, such as on a hard drive, used as a location to store temporary files. Commonly, this directory is named TEMP and may contain files ending with .tmp.


To clean the temp files from your Microsoft Windows temporary directory (C:\Windows\Temp), use the Windows Disk Cleanup utility.
