A wall may refer to any of the following:

1. With Facebook, the Wall is a section of your profile that allows you to post life events, news stories, and other interests, and receive comments from other users. The Wall is visible to anyone visiting your page, as long as the proper permissions are in place. In December 2011, Facebook replaced the Wall with a feature called Timeline, which is similar, but a timeline layout.

2. A Linux command that sends a message to all users of the terminal. See the wall command for further information.
