msbackup command

Msbackup is a later MS-DOS application that enables users to back up the data on their computer. The Windows version is known as mwbackup.

MS-DOS 6.0, 6.2, 6.21, and 6.22 users can still find the older backup file on the MS-DOS 6.0 and 6.22 supplemental disk.

Availability

Msbackup and mwbackup are external commands that are available for the following Microsoft operating systems as msbackup.exe and mwbackup.exe.

Msbackup syntax

MS-DOS 6.0, 6.2, 6.21, and 6.22 syntax

msbackup [setup_file] [/bw] [/lcd] [/mda]
setup_file Option setup file that specifies what files to backup.
/bw Run msbackup in black-and-white mode.
/lcd Run msbackup in LCD screen mode.
/mda Run msbackup in monochrome mode.

The example above would run MSBACKUP. Because this program is now menu driven, there are not many switch options available.
