WOL

WOL, or Wake On LAN, is a software / hardware feature that enables a computer to turn on another computer over the network. In order for this feature to work the computer would have to have a network card (NIC) that supports WOL on the computer they wish to turn on and a software program capable of sending the wake up signal.
